Geraldine's passion for creating beautiful spaces is deeply rooted in her heritage, influenced not only by her mother's career as an interior designer but also by her own love for design since childhood. This initially led her to the world of set design for theatre and film, followed by studying Fine Arts and Art History in the US, where she graduated with honours. After honing her skills at a prestigious commercial architecture and design firm in the America, seeking to deepen her residential work, Geraldine returned to the UK in 2007 to join her mother’s award-winning practice, MM Design. She quickly took the reins, and in 2012, she rebranded the firm as Apponyi Design, solidifying her commitment to creating spaces that are uniquely tailored to each client.

Geraldine is known for her unique ability to blend luxurious detailing, rich colours and elegant design with practical elements into inviting and functional spaces. Her approach is characterized by warmth and collaboration, ensuring that each client is involved from the very beginning to create personal and individual spaces that are as liveable as they are beautiful.
